How to prepare the files for printing. The Printing House is provided the work in the following files format:Postscript level 1, 2 or 3 (separated or composite)PDF 1.2 to 1.6 (separated or composite)PDF/X-1a:2001, PDF/X-3,PDF 1.5 (separated or composite, files do not have layers and JPEG 2000 compression), EPS. While creating the PostScript file, please use the imagesetter drivers: Agfa Avantra or Agfa Apogee. To generate PDF files, download the AdobeDistiller program settings, which are provided on our website. The work should be cantered on the page. Bleeds should be at least 3 mm. Important text or graphic elements should be located at a distance of not less than 5 mm from the cut line. Graphical elements of the page must not include ICC profiles (not tagged profiles). Graphical elements of the page must not include OPI (Open Prepress Interface) comments. The images resolution contained in digital files should be at least 250 dpi and a maximum of 350 dpi. The optimal resolution is 300 dpi. All graphic elements must be prepared in the CMYK colour space. Graphic elements and images prepared in other colour spaces such as RGB or Lab are not allowed. Such prepared files will be considered improper. Any additional colours used e.g. Pantone® system must be converted to CMYK. Additional colours may be used only after consultation with the Printing House. Black text on a coloured background (CMYK) must be overprinted (Overprint). The exception is black text on a metallic colours, where selection should be used (Knockout). Graphic preparing work for printing is responsible for setting of these elements. The points for cutting should be indicated on the work, other tags are automatically addend by the program for imposition. Separate works containing less than four colours. It is important that all work contained files of one type (composite or separation). Files should contain single pages. Do not perform any works on centre spreads. For binding and sewn-glued works, remember that 2 and 3 page of the cover and the first and last page of the contribution will be glued 4-5 mm from the back by side gluing, thus reducing the effective size of the centre spreads. If no correction is made, there is the phenomenon of "cut" of a part of the image caused by the binding process. The page size should be the same, only image size on the page requires a change. While machine gluing of the section on the back (in the folder), the minimum distance of text and other graphical elements of the back should be 6 mm because of the phenomenon described above. The pushing out of section is visible in the stitch binding. Internal sections are moved from the back of the paper depends on the thickness and the number of section. This phenomenon causes a decrease in the effective width of the page and the shift of the graphic content of column, which in extreme cases can lead to cut out of graphics components at the outer cutting line. In order to prevent this, use programs for text section which increases outside margin of each page of glued section by the values given in the table (data for information), keeping the remaining margins and page size. This phenomenon does not occur for a single section. 16-pages gathering Paper 70g/m2 Paper 80g/m² Paper 90g/m² 2 1,00 1,00 1,00 3 1,50 1,50 1,50 4 2,00 2,00 2,00 5 2,50 2,75 2,75 6 3,50 3,50 3,50   It is not necessary that each page has been saved in a separate file. More extensive work can be divided into smaller parts (a few pages in the file). Giving page numbers in the file name, for ease precede pages 1 to 9 by the figure zero, i.e., 01, 02, ... 09, 10, 11 .. When sending files with corrections,  the name should contain the page number with the note "Corrected". If the work contains more than 40% of the content to be changed, please send the set of new files and approval of a new print from the plotter. The delivery of complete material without needing to be improved is considered to be the delivery time of digital content. The Printing House is not responsible for delays resulting from failure to meet delivery date of printing materials. In case of doubt, please contact the Printing House and send us sample files. Maximum inking (TAC or TIL) should not exceed: 330% for coated papers, 280% for uncoated papers.   It is recommended to attach proof to either side by the Customer. Proofs should be performed from the files approved to print by the Customer. For each proof must be equipped with a control strip and certification. No certification prevents from using proof as a reference material - in this case the Printing House performs its own certified proof and informs the Customer on possible differences. In the case of acceptance of the print by the Customer, a sheet approved and signed by the Customer is the  reference material for the machine operator. Prints from previous editions are not a proof model; they can only be a reference point for the machine operator. The use of this type of reference material is associated with the possibility of a different colour because of the lack of information concerning the preparation of materials and the printing process. If the Customer does not provide proofs and is not present during the sheet approval at a printing press, the printing is performed by standard optical density adopted by the Printing House, which is not responsible for any difference in colour. Files are accepted on the following media types: CD/DVD, pendrive, e-mail: ctp@mdruk.com, ftp. server   The Printing House is not responsible for the correctness of transferring files not prepared in accordance with the above recommendations on the printing plates. The Printing House reserves the right to refuse to accept files incorrectly prepared
